Position Summary:  The Maintenance Personnel - Janitor, is responsible for maintaining a clean and well organized New and Used Vehicle area, Service Department, Body Shop, Accounting Office, and Customer drive-through area for 5 buildings (Nissan, Chrysler, Hyundai, Pre-Owned, and Dardanelle Truck Center). The Janitor will also be responsible for maintaining and stocking all restroom facilities and breakroom facilities with necessary paper products and cleaning supplies (i.e. Toilet Paper, Hand Paper Towels, Soap, trash liners, etc). In addition, this role will be responsible for general maintenance of the dealership to include handyman/handywoman type items. This could include but is not limited to: replacing light bulbs, restroom facilities repair, lawn maintenance and care, window cleaning, lot maintenance, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Will include but are not limited to:  

- Empty All Trash Receptacles

- Replace All Trash Receptacles Liners

- Recycling Receptacles emptied and liner replaced. Utilize company waste trash bins for all debris removed from dealership

- Dust Desk, file cabinets, works surfaces in all buildings

- Dust pictures, frames, glass/plastic surfaces and window sills in all buildings

- Carpet Vacuumed in all buildings

- Upholstered Chairs Spot Cleaned & Vacuumed as applicable in all buildings

- Base Boards cleaned in all buildings

- Office Furniture and Showroom Furniture Wipe Down in all buildings

- Solid Doors Wiped and cleaned including door knobs for all major entryways

- Clean glass covers on tables in offices if applicable in all buildings

- Vacuum and Mop all floors in all buildings

- Dust all corners of buildings removing and spider webs if applicable

- Wall Coverings Spot Cleaned as applicable

- Clean countertops, Sink, Microwaves, and appliances in all breakrooms and customer waiting areas in all buildings

- Clean countertops, sinks, toilets, and furniture in all bathroom facilities in all buildings

- Supply order form to accounting for any and all needed supplies to maintain property (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, soap, cleaning supplies, etc).

- Apply weed prevention for lawn and lot maintenance as necessary

- Change light bulbs if necessary

- Maintain all restroom facilities and ensure all are in working order

- Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 

Educational: High school diploma or the equivalent. 

Experience:    Previous experience in maintaining facilities and proven record of cleaning knowledge with emphasis on great time management.

Special Skills (i.e., licenses, certifications, etc.): Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Ability to maintain a good cleaning routine with emphasis on organization and excellent time management abilities. General mechanical skills and manual dexterity. Good judgment. Current valid driver’s license and clean background check.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and handle tools. Requires the ability to lift 40 pounds of material and climb ladders as necessary. Frequently works near moving mechanical parts. Is potentially exposed to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning materials or other toxic materials commonly found in a cleaning supplies. Frequently, exposed to exhaust fumes or other airborne particles.
